Life Long Passion for Automotive

Trydel founder Terry Dowel is not only a life long car enthusiast he has an impressive car collection. Terry has hosted numerous car clubs, associates and friends at his private museum in Beaconsfield Victoria.

Collection

The Terry Dowel Car Collection, also known as The Dowel Museum, is a celebration of automotive ingenuity and collectable craftsmanship, housing an extraordinary range of vehicles that were truly unique in their time. Each car tells a story of bold design, engineering ambition, and the spirit of innovation that shaped the early and mid-years of motoring history. Among the highlights is the museum’s sole replica: the 1887 Motorwagen, widely recognised as the world’s first automobile and a symbol of the birth of personal transport. Equally remarkable is Australia’s first and only Tucker—an exceptionally rare and forward-thinking vehicle that continues to turn heads and spark conversation wherever it appears. Together, these vehicles make the Dowel Museum a compelling destination for enthusiasts and historians alike. Please go to the contact us page if you are interested to see the collection.
